Role at Tom Sawyer Software
Liana Kiff joined Tom Sawyer in January 2019 to grow the team of Solution Architects as we expanded our Services business. Liana retired as Director of Solutions in 2022, and continues to work with Tom Sawyer Software in a consulting capacity. Liana brings more than twenty years of global and distributed software innovation, design, and development experience to Tom Sawyer Software.
Working Background
Liana was a senior scientist within Honeywell’s corporate labs, where she worked on innovative graph-based approaches to information management for Honeywell's product data. Liana acquired deep domain knowledge related to Honeywell and Honeywell’s federal, commercial, and industrial customers, including IOT, commercial building control, industrial control, and technology for "aging in place." Liana's work frequently focused on the gap between how systems are designed and how humans need to interact with and understand those systems. As a champion of information standards and model-driven approaches, she led the development of a common ontology for use across all of Honeywell’s building automation solutions and managed the development of cloud-based services and APIs for enterprise software development.
Education
Liana holds a Master of Software Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.
